Wolfgang Munch
Wolfgang Münch is Deputy Head of Unit in the Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy. The unit oversees the implementation of European Structural and Investment Funds in Poland. His main objective is to achieve step changes in the modernisation of Poland's economy and conditions of living for the population through investments by the funds.
His career in the in the Commission services has covered a diverse range of activities such as coordination of major investment projects, coordination and conception of Regional and Urban Policy as well as the Common Agricultural Policy. Another area early in Wolfgang's career was the negotiations of EU enlargement for agriculture.
Wolfgang studied agricultural economics at the University of Göttingen where he holds a PhD.
