TOP Start-up of Eastern Poland 2017

The TOP Start-up of Eastern Poland 2017 will focus the attention of potential investors, local government administration or state administration, as well as experts and journalists on the most interesting ideas that the start-ups from Eastern Poland have.

An extraordinary opportunity for that will be provided by the 4th Eastern Economic Congress, which is to take place in parallel and is expected to be attended by at least 1,300 participants. This is a real possibility of establishing numerous contacts between the already mature enterprises and the newly formed, innovative initiatives or companies.

It is this very opportunity that underlies the idea behind the TOP Start-up of Eastern Poland – which is a form of bridging the information and marketing gap, stimulating interest and facilitating relations between both environments. For it has been heard for years in Poland that something is amiss in those fields…

The jury will select the most interesting ones from among all of the applications submitted – we will provide them with a perfect opportunity to present their concepts, and the contest will select the best start-up initiatives from the eastern macro-region of Poland. Thematic sessions will expand the knowledge of success stories, pitfalls and opportunities along one’s road to business. More or less formal conversations with representatives of mature business or experts will lead to establishing networking contacts that may bear fruit in the form of organisational or financial support for the development of a start-up company/enterprise. Moreover, the possibility of learning the history – the difficulties and achievements – of other start-ups will surely allow the participants to look at their own plans from a different perspective.

We will make use of the best observations from the last year’s edition of the meeting held in Białystok, and we will also utilise the experiences that underlay the success of the European Start-up Days in Katowice.

It is worth taking matters into your own hands, present your ideas and catch the attention of the guests of the Congress in order to actively provide yourself with a possibility of gaining organisational support, competent mentoring, stable financing or simple commercialisation path for your solutions.

What do we plan to do?

  • How does it begin? The best self-presentations of the start-ups from Eastern Poland (‘showcases’, 3–5 minutes each)
  • Networking Zone – a place for meetings with investors and potential business partners, as well as an opportunity to present your products and services; we will also introduce the so-called ‘speed dating’ formula, that is one-to-one meetings (start-up – business)
  • Thematic sessions attended by experts, entrepreneurs and young start-up owners
  • Announcement of the results of the contest for the best start-ups of Eastern Poland

More information will be available soon.
