The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania is a government department of the Republic of Lithuania. Its mission is to prosecute policy of government of Lithuania in fuel, electricity, thermo-energy production and supply for Lithuania economy. The current head of the Ministry is Mr. Rokas Masiulis.

Personal

Dr Aleksandras Spruogis is the vice-minister at the Ministry of Energy of Lithuania since 15 March 2013. He also served as vice-minister at the Ministry of Environment of Lithuania for the period from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that he took the position as Chief Advisor and Secretary of the Ministry at the Ministry of Environment of Lithuania (2003-2009). He also was Chief Advisor, Chairman of the Chamber of Advisers at the Environment Protection Committee of Lithuanian Parliament for the period from 1997 to 2003. He holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering and Technical Sciences and Major in Environmental Engineering from Vilnius Gediminas Technical University in Vilnius, Lithuania.
